, is organized thematically in a Q&A format, challenging readers to think about how they would (or should) respond when faced with everyday moral challenges, from sex and love to religion, technology, and much more.

Randy Cohen wrote "The Ethicist" column in the New York Times Magazine for twelve years. He has appeared regularly on NPR, and is host of the radio series Person Place Thing. He is also a 4-time Emmy Winner for his writing on Late Night with David Letterman and TV Nation.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
