Albany, NY – Jim Shepard, the author of six novels and two previous collections of short stories was recently nominated for the national book award. He joins Gretchen to talk about his new story collection "Like You'd Understand, Anyway." The stories range over time and place, from the Roman Empire, to 1840s Australia, to a high school football team in Texas.
