Albany, NY – Host Gretchen Holbrook Gerzina welcomes author Robert Hellenga to talk about his latest novel, "The Italian Lover." Hellenga's novel takes us to that most romantic of cities - Florence, Italy. American Margo Harrington has lived there for decades and is a respected book restorer and conservator whose memoir has been knocking around film production offices for years. Suddenly an L.A. producer, recently divorced from her husband and business partner, decides to make the film. She and two other Americans enter Margo's life - a professor whose daughter was killed in Italy and a hopeful young actress determined to play Margo in the starring role. We watch as Margo's life seem to become someone else's - both in reality and on screen as the cameras, director and actors roll in.
