Nations Computers At Risk After Glitches At United, WSJ And NYSE


There is no evidence linking the computer problems on Wednesday that suspended trading on the New York Stock Exchange, grounded morning flights at United-Continental Airlines, and brought the website at the Wall Street Journal to its knees.  It appears to have been a cyber-coincidence, and not a cyber attack, but the nation’s computers are vulnerable, and constant vigilance is needed according to Dr. Jane LeClair, the Chief Operating Officer of the National Cybersecurity Institute at New York’s Excelsior College.
