Albany, NY – John James Audobon-- whose name became synonymous with American conservation-- killed thousands of birds during his guest to create his pioneering work "Birds of America." Audobon was at once an entrepreneur, artist, scientist, husband, father, legend, and walking contradiction. Which is why filmmaker Larry Hott decided to turn his lens on Audobon for the PBS special: American Masters: John James Audobon: Drawn From Nature.
