With the end of the pandemic a number of communities are restoring summer festivities.  In Plattsburgh a number of events are planned throughout the summer with several occurring during a 10-day period starting Thursday.

The largest sailing race on Lake Champlain and its associated land festival are returning this summer after the pandemic forced a smaller sailing race and no land events last year.

The annual Mayor’s Cup Festival in Plattsburgh combines a sailing regatta with events downtown.  Organizers recently unveiled this year’s t-shirt design and announced plans for the 4th of July weekend festival.

City officials in Plattsburgh are working to make the downtown center more appealing to tourists. One of the newest initiatives got a boost recently when the Sunrise Rotary announced it will sponsor a plan to create an Arts Walk in the center city.
