After a contentious and close election in 2018, first-term Democratic Congressman Antonio Delgado is seeking re-election in New York’s 19th House District. The Cook Political Report rates the 11-county district as “likely Democratic” this year, after a “Republican tossup” designation two years ago. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne spoke with Delgado about the race.

A Siena College poll released in late August had first-term Republican Congressman John Faso holding a 5-point lead over Democratic challenger Antonio Delgado in New York’s 19th Congressional district. In a new Siena poll out today, that lead has shrunk to one point.
