Mid-Hudson Region Begins Phase Two Reopening

Phase Two of reopening began Tuesday in the Mid-Hudson region of New York. Hair salon and restaurant managers are among those who have been prepping for the day, while a number of residents have been waiting to occupy a barbershop chair or outdoor table at their favorite restaurants.

Religious institutions including churches, mosques, and temples can now open their doors to worshippers in New York regions under Phase Two of the state's reopening guidelines.

Staff from two Orange County, New York departments will be distributing free personal protective equipment to hair salon and barbershop owners on Saturday.

Thursday marked the return of outdoor dining in areas across New York under Phase Two of reopening guidelines.

New York state officials have called off the Phase Two reopening for five of its upstate economic regions, including the Mohawk Valley, North Country, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and central New York.
