Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Jay Ash

Gov. Charlie Baker’s administration has awarded $57 million to 19 projects in Massachusetts to create or preserve more than 1,300 apartments for low-income tenants. 


   One of the major pieces of legislation still pending final approval in the waning days of the legislative session on Beacon Hill is an economic development bill.

     The Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is planning a major expansion in its home city and state. The state is offering a generous financial incentive for the company to consolidate its operations in Massachusetts.
