Adirondack Theatre Festival Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, is here to tell us about their entire season of interactive virtual experiences beginning next month through February 2021.

The first ever of its kind, these experiences include a from-your-couch cruise, hands-on-insane magic shows, a holiday talent show with live voting, an interactive hunt for a criminal, a film festival, and a “wine and canvas” night gone wrong.

The full season of performances will be branded as IN THE BOX ENTERTAINMENT presented by ATF. All shows will include a box mailed to the ticket holder prior to the show which will fuel their at-home experience.

Philippe Petit has performed on the high wire more than 80 times around the world; he is also a magician, street juggler, visual artist, builder, lecturer, writer and subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary, "Man on Wire" and the feature film "The Walk."

Petit’s first “coup” was walking between the towers of Notre Dame in Paris in 1971. He followed with a walk between the pylons of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, setting the stage for “the artistic crime of the century,” his Twin Towers walk a quarter of a mile above the sidewalks of New York in 1974.

Joe Donahue will be talking with Petit on stage at the UAlbany Performing Arts Center’s Recital Hall on Thursday, October 3 at 7 p.m. discussing his creative inspiration, craft and career with a question and answer session with the audience will follow. It is part of the UAlbany’s Creative Life series.

Preceding The Creative Life event, Petit will perform a demonstration of his rope-walking artistry and join attendees at a reception at 6 p.m.

The Illusionists wowed New York audiences three record-breaking years in a row with “Witness The Impossible,” “Live on Broadway” and “Turn Of The Century.” The new mind-blowing spectacular “The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays” showcases the jaw dropping talents of the most incredible Illusionists on earth, alongside special guests Light Balance. The show runs at Broadway's Marquis Theatre November 23 through December 30.

The performers are master entertainers Adam Trent (The Futurist), Colin Cloud (The Deductionist), Shin Lim (The Manipulator), Chloe Crawford (The Sorceress), and our guest, Darcy Oake (The Grand Illusionist).

Death-defying magician, David Blaine is bringing his mind-blowing show ‘David Blaine Live’ to the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York on Tuesday, June 26th. Blaine is known for his exceptional fusion of magic and stunt work, unlike any other modern-day performer. The one-man show will be an interactive experience to shock and awe audiences.

Blaine’s highly-rated primetime specials have shown him being buried alive in New York City for a week, encased inside a six-ton block of ice for three days, surviving standing atop a 100 foot tall pillar in Bryant Park for 36 hours without a safety net, enduring 44 days inside a transparent box in London on nothing but water, and living within one million volts discharged at him continuously for 72 hours from seven Tesla coils. Blaine also spent one week submerged in a sphere-shaped aquarium at Lincoln Center.
