Juilliard String Quartet
Lisa-Marie Mazzucco

With unparalleled artistry and enduring vigor, the Juilliard String Quartet continues to inspire audiences around the world. Founded in 1946 they have been hailed by the Boston Globe as “the most important American quartet in history.”

The quartet has been participating in the first events of the Tanglewood Learning Institute's 2019 season, teaching masterclasses and coaching the TMC string quartets in an intensive week-long focus on string quartet repertoire.

They'll be coaching the string quartets during the day today and there will be three String Quartet Marathon concerts at Ozawa Hall featuring the 2019 TMC Fellows tomorrow at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. We are joined by Areta Zhulla, Ronald Copes, Roger Tapping, and Astrid Schween.
