The Adirondack Film Festival in Glens Falls, New York is the only film festival in the country operated by a prominent professional theatre company, namely, the Adirondack Theatre Festival. The film festival features panel discussions, exciting special events, and more than 100 film screenings, all taking place on six screens in downtown Glens Falls. Sharing its slogan with the Adirondack Theatre Festival – the leading professional theatre in the Capital Region dedicated to new plays – the Adirondack Film Festival is a place where audiences can always expect to see something new.

This year’s festival runs October 17-20. Festival Director Chad Rabinovitz and Programming Director Jessica Levandoski join us with a preview.

In “Beau,” eight actor-musicians tell the story of Ace Baker, who spends the first decade of his life fatherless. At 12 years old, a phone call reveals that his grandfather, Beau, has been alive all his life and his mother knew. Family secrets unravel as Ace rushes to make up for lost time with a man who changes his life and puts a guitar in his hand.

“Beau” features a concept, book, and lyrics by Douglas Lyons and music by Ethan D. Pakchar and Lyons. Michael Wilson directs the Adirondack Theatre Festival production which runs in Glens Falls, New York August 3-9.

We are joined by Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar, actor Matt Rodin who plays Ace, and ATF Producing Artistic Director Chad Rabinovitz.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival is celebrating its 25th Anniversary season in Glens Falls, New York.

Running now through August 9th – the festival will present four mainstage productions, a concert reading, a "greatest hits" cabaret, a magical comedy show, and a dinner theatre for kids at the Charles R. Wood Theater.

This summer, The Adirondack Theatre Festival’s presents an entire season of major new works. 

After a record-breaking season of sold-out performances last year, nearly doubling attendance and subscribership in just the past two years, the 2017 season promises to be even larger.  Performances will run June 21 – August 12 at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls, NY.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival 23rd season – the third for Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz – includes Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat, Knights of the Sales Office, The Boy in the Bathroom, and Glitches in Reality – along with special events and readings.
