Recently, Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts – under the artistic direction of Julianne Boyd – has opened its summer season with a vigorous, winning Broadway-style musical.  Memorable recent productions have been Guys and Dolls in 2011…Fiddler on the Roof in 2012…On the Town in 2013.   This flair and quality continues with its current season-opener: the ever-popular Kiss Me Kate, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter.

    Emmy Award-winning (Picket Fences) stage and screen legend Fyvush Finkel will celebrates the great songs and humor of show business at Mr. Finn's Cabaret at Barrington Stage.

Accompanied by his two sons – Ian Finkel, the World’s Greatest Xylophonist, and Elliot Finkel, concert pianist extraordinaire – the 91-year-old Fyvush offers a first-hand account of his incredible career spanning English and Yiddish roles, from Second Avenue to modern-day television stardom.

    Barrington Stage Company the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA kicks off their 20th Anniversary Season with Kiss Me, Kate - with music and lyrics by Cole Porter and book by Sam and Bella Spewack.

We are joined at The Linda by the production’s director, Joe Calarco, musical director, Darren Cohen and cast members Elizabeth Stanley, Paul Anthony Stewart, Mara Davi, Carlos Lopez, and Michael Dean Morgan.

“Southern Comfort,” the musical being given its world premiere at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Mass., is a tender, story about love, courage and most of all family.  It’s a lovely show with excellent music and a story that will make you feel good as it breaks your heart.

    Actor Richard Schiff is probably best known for playing White House Communications Director Toby Ziegler on NBC’s The West Wing.

He made his Broadway debut this past season Glengarry Glen Ross with Al Pacino and he is now at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield in The Chosen.

    Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA is kicking off their 19th season with On the Town - the show that introduced the genius talents of Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Betty Comden and Adolph Green to Broadway audiences.

Set in 1944, On the Town is the story of three sailors on a 24-hour leave in New York City. Squeezed for time, they somehow manage to find love and incredible adventures in the Big Apple.

Barrington Stage’s production - which runs through July 13th - is directed by Tony Award winner, John Rando - who directed Guys and Dolls at BSC in 2011. The musical director is Darren Cohen. These two talented men join us along with cast members Tony Yazbeck, Clyde Alves, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Elizabeth Stanley, and Alysha Umphress.

The show is presented as part of Barrington Stage’s Musical Theatre Lab (William Finn, Artistic Producer). Directed by John Simpkins, with musical direction by James Sampliner, The Black Suits runs September 2 at BSC’s St. Germain Stage in Pittsfield, MA.
