Yiddish Book Center - Yidstock 2014

Yidstock 2014: The Festival of New Yiddish Music will bring to the stage at the Yiddish Book Center the top names in Klezmer and new Yiddish music.

The bands include the Klezmer Conservatory Band, Nigunim Trio, the Klezmatics, Daniel Kahn & the Painted Bird and Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars with Eleanor Reissa.

Also on the bill are Yiddish dance workshops, Yiddish song workshops, lectures, and more. The idea for Yidstock was conceived by Susan Bronson who launched the annual festival in 2012. She joins us along with Seth Rogovoy, who is the program organizer for Yidstock and Yiddish Book Center's Founder and President, Aaron Lansky.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
