Woodstock Film Festival – Bruce Greenwood

Wildlike

Actor Bruce Greenwood has been a familiar face on screen for decades, with credits including the new Star Trek series, Capote, Meek’s Cutoff, Flight, St. Elsewhere, Knots Landing, and dozens more.

Listeners in the WAMC region who were excited to spot the G.E. plant and The Daily Gazette on the silver screen in the gritty Schenectady-based The Place Beyond the Pines in 2012 saw Greenwood as the district attorney Bill Killcullen.

Now, Greenwood is coming back to our region to take part in the Woodstock Film Festival, including an actor’s dialogue October 19 and two screenings of the new film WildLike.

A lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Ian joined WAMC in late 2008 and became news director in 2013. He began working on Morning Edition and has produced The Capitol Connection, Congressional Corner, and several other WAMC programs. Ian can also be heard as the host of the WAMC News Podcast and on The Roundtable and various newscasts. Ian holds a BA in English and journalism and an MA in English, both from the University at Albany, where he has taught journalism since 2013.
