Williams College Athletics

Williams College will dedicate its renovated athletic complex Saturday with a slate of games, a community-wide tailgate and the return of longtime coaches. The new $23 million Weston Athletic Complex includes team meeting space between two lighted turf fields, a new track and concession stands.

“The layout, the look, the feel, the comfort…I don’t know that when they finally picked the design that they thought it could be as good as it really is,”  said Dick Quinn, Williams' sports information director. “Everyone who’s seen it is just enthralled.”

The women’s and men’s soccer teams kick off the day’s games at noon along with the community tailgate. The 1,400 seat Farley-Lamb Field will be dedicated during halftime of the football game which begins at 2 p.m. A reception with longtime coaches and field namesakes Dick Farley and Renzie Lamb follows the game.
