Bills owner and American Football League co-founder Ralph Wilson has died at 95. He was instrumental in the AFL/NFL merger and saw his team win four consecutive AFC championships from 1990-93. And Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is expected to undergo surgery following the return of oral cancer. Kelly led the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls, the only quarterback in history to do so.
In women’s college basketball, No. 1 UConn beat No. 9 Saint Joseph’s 91-52 and will go on to face No. 12 BYU at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

In the NHL, the Islanders outshot Carolina 5-4, Montreal shut out Buffalo 2-0, St. Louis edged Toronto 5-3, Los Angeles topped Washington in a shoot out 5-4, Phoenix trumped Pittsburgh 3-2, Columbus beat Detroit 4-2, Florida squeaked by Ottawa in a shoot out 3-2, it was Chicago over Dallas 4-2, San Jose won against Edmonton 5-2, and Colorado defeated Nashville in a shoot out 5-4.
In baseball spring training, Philadelphia topped the Yankees 6-0, Atlanta beat Detroit 12-3, Oakland bested Cincinnati 8-4, Colorado defeated the White Sox 4-1, Pittsburgh blew out Toronto 22-5, the Angels edged the Chicago Cubs 8-4, it was Minnesota over Baltimore 4-1, Boston won against Tampa Bay 4-2, Texas beat Cleveland 5-0, Seattle defeated Kansas City 9-6, Washington bested the Mets 7-3, Miami slid by St. Louis 6-5, San Francisco topped Milwaukee 5-4, and the Cubs beat San Diego 5-5.
Former Yankees manager, Joe Torre, saw where his Hall of Fame plaque will be displayed at the Baseball Hall of Fame Tuesday. The Hall of Fame expects one of the biggest crowds ever on July 27th.
