Walk And Vigil Planned For Addiction Victims

Members of the Northern Berkshire community are coming together Saturday to bring attention to addiction and remember those who lost their lives struggling with it.

The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is hosting the third annual Voices for Recovery rally, walk and vigil at Noel Field in North Adams. Wendy Penner is the coalition’s director of prevention programs.

“This an opportunity to come together as a community to say that recovery is possible, to celebrate those who recovered and to provide support, resources and compassion to people who are stilling struggling or have lost loved ones to addiction,” said Penner.

Registration for the walk begins at 4 p.m. follow by a series of speakers and a candlelight vigil. Click here for more information.
