Vermont General Fund Revenue Above Forecast

Vermont general fund revenues have come in about 4.8 percent above forecasts for the previous fiscal year 2018.
Secretary of Administration Susanne Young released Vermont's revenue report Wednesday.

The transportation and education funds came in above forecasts for the fiscal year as well. The transportation fund was 0.5 percent above forecasts while the education fund was 2.5 percent above forecasts.

Young said that while all the growth is unlikely to replicate itself in fiscal year 2019, which began July 1, state officials remain "cautiously optimistic" that the economy is strengthening.

The administration will receive forecasts for fiscal years 2019 and 2020 at the Emergency Board meeting on July 27.
