Upstate Coffee Company Wins Super Bowl Ad Competition

A Round Lake company boasting “the world’s strongest coffee” has won a coveted Super Bowl ad spot.

Without spoiling the joke, know that Death Wish Coffee’s Super Bowl ad features Vikings rowing on rough seas.

The 30-second ad  is the winner of Intuit QuickBooks Small Business Big Game. On Thursday, Death Wish Coffee released a thank-you video on YouTube, claiming to be the smallest company ever awarded Super Bowl ad.

“We are the victors, the champions, and it's all because of you!" said founder Michael Brown to voters.

Death Wish Coffee says the ad won against 15,000 other businesses.

Lucas Willard is a reporter and host at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, which he joined in 2011.
