Authorities have identified the three people killed in a fire early Saturday in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

The Berkshire District Attorney's Office said in a press release Sunday afternoon that Austin F. Grzelak, 25, of 20 Larch St., Pittsfield, and Kasper and Sylas Stone, six-year-old twins who lived in the home at 11 Lakewood Circle were killed. Authorities have not released a cause of death as autopsy results are pending.

The DA's office said Saturday night that State Police investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal and Pittsfield fire officials had narrowed the cause of the home fire as starting from a candle or smoking material in the master bedroom.

“There is no evidence of criminal activity,” District Attorney Andrea Harrington said in a statement Saturday. “This remains under investigation, although at this time we do not consider this to be a suspicious fire.”

The DA’s office says the Pittsfield Fire Department responded to the fire at the Lake Onota Village trailer park around 3:40 a.m. Saturday.

Two residents escaped. One of them was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The DA's office said that individual was still being treated at Mass General as of Sunday afternoon.

The DA's office says the home sustained heavy fire damage and a nearby residence was partially damaged.
