Two Women Of Same Age Go Missing And Are Found Safe In October Mtn. Forest

In an interesting coincidence, two 53-year-old women who were separately reported missing this weekend in the Berkshires’ October Mountain State Forest are both safe and sound.Pittsfield Police say 53-year-old Ann Jorn left her home around 4 p.m. Sunday. According to her husband, she was going to a reservoir in October Mountain State Forest and was not heard from for the rest of the day. Jorn was found during the 9 o’clock hour Monday morning. The Berkshire Eagle reports she spent the night in her car after it got stuck on a tree stump.

On Friday, state police used a helicopter with infrared cameras to find an unidentified 53-year-old woman who got lost while hiking in the state forest. According to The Eagle, she was treated for minor cuts and bruising after being found around 10:30 p.m.
