In New York, City of Kingston officials are seeking public comment on two infrastructure projects.
Kingston Mayor Steve Noble says the Pedestrian Action Safety Plan program includes upgrades and adjustments to sidewalks, roads and intersections. This fall, with funding from New York state, seven intersections with high pedestrian traffic will be upgraded. Proposed designs are available for feedback until June 26 at web site EngageKingston.com. The second project, the Wilbur Avenue Paving Project, will correct drainage issues which have cause the road to deteriorate. The project includes two 11-foot travel lanes with 3-foot shoulders being constructed along the proposed roadway section, with ways to better direct storm water runoff. Construction is tentatively scheduled from April to September 2021. More information and design plans also can be found at EngageKingston.com. Comments will be open until July 15.
