The Adirondack Pollinator Project, an effort of the non-profit advocacy group AdkAction, is hosting a symposium this week on how to protect our native pollinator species.

The keynote speaker at Wednesday’s event in North Creek, New York is Benjamin Vogt. Vogt is an author and founder of Monarch Gardens in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Vogt spoke with WAMC’s Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard about the importance of advocating for the species at the root of our ecosystems.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pond Community Center in North Creek, New York.
