The Philadelphia Eagles own a share of first-place in the NFC East after erasing a 17-3 halftime deficit against the lowly New York Giants. Carson Wentz tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz in overtime to lead the Eagles to a 23-17 win over the Giants.

Wentz threw for 325 yards and a pair of TDs, including a 5-yard toss to Ertz to tie it at 17-17 with 1:53 left in the fourth quarter. Ertz racked up 91 yards on nine receptions for the Eagles, who played the second half without receiver Alshon Jeffery because of a foot injury. Eli Manning looked good in the second quarter of his first start since Week 2, leading three scoring drives that put New York ahead by two touchdowns. Manning finished 15 of 30 for 203 yards, but he couldn't prevent the 2-11 Giants from suffering their team record-tying ninth straight loss. The 6-7 Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak and moved into a first-place tie with Dallas. Philadelphia captures the division if it wins its final three games, including a matchup with Dallas in Week 16.

In NFL news, the New England Patriots have acknowledged that a video crew working for the team shot the Cincinnati Bengals sideline during Sunday's game at Cleveland. Any videotaping of a sideline by another team is a violation of league rules that echoed the team's 2007 Spygate scandal. The Patriots said on their website that a three-person crew for a web series titled "Do Your Job" "inappropriately filmed the field from the press box" as part of a feature on the scouting department. The filming took place "without specific knowledge of league rules," according to the team statement. The Pats also said that while it was granted credentials for the crew from the Browns, their failure to inform the Bengals and the NFL was an unintended oversight. When confronted, the team said the crew "immediately turned over all footage to the league and cooperated fully."

The Dallas Cowboys have waived struggling kicker Brett Maher and replaced him with eight-year veteran Kai Forbath. Maher is the only kicker in NFL history with three field goals of at least 60 yards. But the Cowboys couldn't count on him for the shorter ones that are often more critical.

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri will finish this season on injured reserve with an injured left knee. The Colts say Vinatieri will have surgery for an injury he attempted to play through all season. He missed a league-high 14 kicks this year, including six extra points.

Bears linebacker Roquan Smith is out for the season, according to coach Matt Nagy. Smith suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's win over the Cowboys.

Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley and cornerback Desmond Trufant will miss the rest of the season after getting hurt in a win over Carolina. Coach Dan Quinn confirms that both players are done for the year and are expected to make full recoveries.

NBA

The Boston Celtics' starting front court is back to full health with the return of Gordon Hayward for Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gordon Hayward had 14 points and the Celtics remained unbeaten at home with a 110-88 victory over the sinking Cavs. He was in action for the first time since breaking a hand in a game Nov. 9. Hayward also had five rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes. Kemba Walker led Boston's balanced scoring with 22 points, while Jaylen Brown furnished 20 points and seven rebounds. Jayson Tatum added 19 points with 11 boards for the Celtics, who have won four in a row overall and are 10-0 at TD Bank Garden. The Cavaliers have lost seven straight games and 13 of 14.

The Bucks ran their winning streak to 15 games as Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered 32 points and 15 rebounds in a 110-101 victory over the Magic. Khris Middleton scored 20 points and Dante DiVincenzo added 12 points off the bench as Milwaukee ended Orlando's four-game win streak.

Pascal Siakam finished with 22 points and Norman Powell furnished six of his 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Raptors hung on to end a three-game skid, 93-92 at Chicago. Zack LaVine had 20 points for the Bulls before going scoreless in the second half, including a missed runner in the closing seconds.

Paul George scored 36 points in his first trip to Indianapolis with the Clippers and Montrezl Harrell added 26 to power Los Angeles past the Pacers, 110-99. Booed repeatedly early in the game, George finished with a season-high seven 3-pointers as the Clippers won for the fourth time in five games.

Nemanja Bjelica drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Sacramento past the Rockets, 119-118. Buddy Hield had 26 points to lead the Kings, who had six players score in double figures as they won their second straight since a three-game skid.

Devin Booker scored 26 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 24 on his 24th birthday to lead the Suns' 125-109 verdict over the Timberwolves. Ricky Rubio finished with 16 points and 14 assists to help Phoenix stop a four-game home losing streak.

The Thunder earned a 104-90 win over the Jazz as Dennis Schroder scored 27 points off the bench. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 20 points and Chris Paul added 16 with seven assists to help Oklahoma City deal Utah its sixth loss in eight games.

Derrick Rose provided 17 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, including a 14-foot jumper in the lane with 0.3 seconds left to send the Pistons to a 105-103 win over the Pelicans. Rose scored 11 of Detroit's first 13 points in the final period for a 92-84 lead before New Orleans rallied to tie it.

Ja Morant returned to Grizzlies' lineup and scored 26 points to lead a 110-102 victory over the Warriors. Dillon Brooks added 17 points and Jaren Jackson Jr. had 16 as Memphis won for just the second time in 11 games.

In NBA news, the Houston Rockets won't get a do-over after officials wrongly disallowed a slam dunk by James Harden in a double-overtime loss to the Spurs. The NBA has denied the Rockets' protest of last Tuesday's game, which the Spurs won 135-133. A successful protest would result in part of the game being replayed. The league said it has disciplined the officials who got the call wrong and botched the aftermath by not allowing Houston to challenge the ruling.

NHL

Brock Nelson scored twice in the third period and Josh Bailey provided the game-winner with a short-handed, breakaway goal as the Islanders dumped the Lightning, 5-1. Bailey and Anders Lee each had a goal and an assist to back an outstanding performance by Semyon Varlamov, who stopped 31 shots in New York's 20th victory.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have struggled this season after winning a playoff series for the first time in team history last spring. But the Jackets were good enough to beat the NHL's top club on Monday. Cam Atkinson scored twice and the Blue Jackets ended a four-game losing streak by knocking off the Capitals, 5-2 in Washington. Ryan Murray, Riley Nash and Oliver Bjorkstrand also scored for the Jackets, who pumped 19 shots on Braden Holtby in the first period. Joonas Korpisalo faced only six shots in the opening 20 minutes but finished with 37 saves as the Caps attempted to mount a comeback. Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson had third-period goals for the Capitals, who ended a six-game winning streak.

The Senators also pulled off a surprise by downing the Bruins, 5-2 in Ottawa. Anthony Duclair had two goals and an assist, and Chris Tierney scored once while collecting three points. The Bruins remain three points behind Washington for the NHL's overall lead.

The Flames won their fifth in a row by beating the Avalanche, 5-4 on Sean Monahan's goal 2:09 into overtime. Matthew Tkachuk had a goal and an assist, and David Rittich had 28 saves as Calgary stayed unbeaten under interim head coach Geoff Ward.

MLB

World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg is staying with the Washington Nationals. Strasburg has agreed to a record $245 million, seven-year contract. The deal is the highest for a pitcher in total dollars and average annual value at $35 million. The largest contract for a pitcher had been David Price's $217 million, seven-year deal with Boston that began in 2016. The 31-year-old Strasburg was drafted by Washington first overall in 2009 and has spent his entire career with the Nationals. He was 18-6 with a 3.32 ERA this season, topping 30 starts for the second time in his career and leading the NL with 209 innings. Strasburg was sensational in the postseason, going 5-0 with a 1.98 ERA in five postseason starts and one relief outing. Two of those victories came in the World Series against the Astros.

The Phillies and right-hander Zack Wheeler have finalized their five-year, $118 million, five-year contract. The 29-year-old stays in the NL East after spending his first seven seasons with the New York Mets. He was 11-8 with a 3.96 ERA last season after going 12-7 with a 3.31 ERA in 2018.

Left-hander Alex Claudio has agreed to a one-year, $1.75 million contract with Milwaukee. Claudio led the majors with 83 appearances this year, going 2-2 with a 4.06 ERA in 62 innings for the Brewers.

A former college baseball player whose battle with Lou Gehrig's disease helped inspire the ALS ice bucket challenge that has raised more than $200 million worldwide, died Monday. Pete Frates was 34. The challenge has raised about $220 million worldwide, including $115 million alone for the Washington-based ALS Association.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts and Ohio State teammates quarterback Justin Fields and defensive end Chase Young join LSU quarterback Joe Burrow as Heisman Trophy finalists. Burrow is the clear front-runner to win the Heisman on Saturday night in New York after a record-breaking season, leading the 13-0 Tigers to the top seed in the College Football Playoff. LSU hasn't produced a Heisman winner since Billy Cannon in 1959. Fields and Young are the first teammates to be finalists since Oklahoma had quarterback Baker Mayfield and receiver Dede Westbrook at the Heisman ceremony in 2016. Hurts is the third Oklahoma quarterback in the last four seasons to be a Heisman finalist, including the last two winners in Kyler Murray and Mayfield.

Ohio State defensive end Chase Young won the Bronko Nagurski Award given to the nation's top college defensive player. Young recorded 16 1/2 sacks and forcing six fumbles in 10 games for the Buckeyes.

Ex-South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley says he's headed to Utah for his final college season. He will graduate from South Carolina this week, meaning he will be immediately eligible to play. Bentley started 33 games for the Gamecocks, throwing for 7,527 yards, 55 touchdowns and 32 interceptions.

South Florida has hired Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott to become the Bulls' next head coach. Scott was hired as wide receivers coach by Clemson in 2008 and quickly became recruiting coordinator, too. He was elevated to co-offensive coordinator in 2015, though quarterbacks coach Tony Elliott has handled play-calling.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Louisville and Kansas remain atop the Associated Press college basketball Top 25 this week. Ohio State jumped three spots to No. 3 after routing then-No. 7 North Carolina and blowing out Penn State. Maryland dropped one spot to fourth despite continuing to pile up wins. Michigan slid one spot to round out the top five after its first loss of the season. Xavier joined the rankings at No. 22 and San Diego State entered at No. 25.

RUSSIAN-DOPING

Russia has been slapped with a four-year ban from international sports events over a longstanding doping scandal, but its athletes will still be able to compete if they can show they are clean competitors. The ruling by the World Anti-Doping Agency's executive committee means that Russia's flag, name and anthem will not appear at the Tokyo Games. The country also could be stripped of hosting world championships in Olympic sports, although Russia can appeal the decision within 21 days.
