Skidmore College Going Tobacco Free In January

Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs will become a smoke- and tobacco-free campus. The move also includes the banning of e-cigarettes and vaping devices.

Skidmore will go smoke- and tobacco-free on Jan. 1.

The ban will extend to all smoking and vaping devices in both indoor and outdoor areas.

The college says the policy follows its goals of supporting health and wellness initiatives throughout campus.

Skidmore has partnered with the Living Tobacco-Free Initiative through the Health Promotion Center of Glens Falls Hospital to implement the new policy.
