Siena Poll: Dems Lead Statewide Contests In New York

Democrats are poised to sweep statewide elections in New York, according to a new Siena College poll.

The poll released Sunday morning shows Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo leading Republican challenger Marc Molinaro 49 to 36 percent. Though Cuomo’s lead over the Dutchess County Executive has shrunk, he still appears poised to secure a third term.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is leading Republican hopeful Chele Farly by 23 points.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli has a commanding 37-point lead over Republican Jonathan Trichter.

Democratic Attorney General candidate Tish James maintains a double-digit advantage over Republican Keith Wofford, 49 to 37 percent.
