Shots Ring Out In Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Police in Albany say they're investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.  Officers responded to reports of shots fired 1:45 a.m. Thursday at Central near King Avenue and found two men with gunshot wounds. 26-year-old Darzee Reid of Troy was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. Police say the other victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.  Police are continuing their investigation.

In 2012, Dave received a Communicator Award of Distinction for his WAMC news story "Fail: The NYS Flood Panel," which explores whether the damage from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee could have been prevented or at least curbed. Dave began his radio career as a “morning personality” at WABY in Albany.
