Multiple media outlets are reporting that escaped murderer, David Sweat, has been shot and captured in northern New York.
CNN, citing multiple law enforcement sources, reports that Sweat was shot and taken into custody on Sunday.
Sweat's fellow escapee, Richard Matt, was shot to death by officers on Friday.
Sweat and Matt escaped from a New York State prison in Dannemora on June 6, spurring a massive manhunt that included over 1,100 state, local and federal law enforcement officers.
