After students complained of censorship, the Burlington High School principal is allowing them to repost a story they broke on the school newspaper's website about unprofessional conduct charges against the guidance director.
Principal Noel Green says he reversed a decision that required the students to take down the story because the issue had been covered by other media.

The students received an anonymous tip and then filed a public records request with the Vermont Education Agency. They posted the story Sunday night.

Green initially asked the students to take it down, saying the story was "substantially disrupting the ability of the school to perform its educational mission."

The students had vowed to fight the action.

Green said Thursday that since the story was published elsewhere it could be reposted.
