It's a five-way race for the corner office at North Adams City Hall.

Voters in North Adams, Massachusetts will narrow the field of mayoral candidates down to two today.

Tom Bernard, Rachel Branch, current City Councilor Bob Moulton Jr., Robert Martelle and Peter Oleskiewicz are facing off in the preliminary election for mayor. The two top vote-getters will continue their campaigns through the general election November 7th.

It’s the first mayoral election without an incumbent in three decades. Outgoing Mayor Richard Alcombright said he won’t seek a fifth term in June.

“It’s now time for North Adams to move into its exciting future with new leadership and new energy,” Alcombright said.

City elections in North Adams are non-partisan. Polls are open until 7.
