Police have released the identities of three people killed in a double murder-suicide in the Saratoga County community of Ballston Spa.
Village of Ballston Spa police and New York State Police held a press conference Saturday afternoon where they said Steven Jones, 46, shot his 43-year-old wife Jennifer and 12-year-old daughter Emma before shooting himself.
The Daily Gazette reportsJones was employed at GlobalFoundries in Malta and had not shown up to work for several days. Police discovered the bodies while performing a welfare check at the house on Adams Circle.
The newspaper says Jones’ death appears to be the fourth suicide of a GlobalFoundries employee in the Northeast since 2016.
