Pittsfield, Massachusetts is changing its meal schedule for city students with public schools closed until at least May 4th.

With the schools shuttered due to coronavirus concerns, the city has been providing pick-up breakfast and lunch for students at sites across the city. Now, Director of Administrative Services Roberta McCulloch-Dews says it’s being adapted.

“The program will be in effect on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday," she told WAMC. "On each of those days that the meal program is in operation, students will receive meals for multiple days. So for instance, on Monday, you’ll get meals for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, you’ll get meals for Wednesday and Thursday. And on Friday, they ‘ll get meals for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.”

The new schedule goes into effect Monday. For a list of meal sites in Pittsfield, click here.
