- Hudson Valley, Mohawk Valley, Champlain Valley, Connecticut Valley: mainly 1" or less
- Catskills, Adirondacks, hill towns surrounding the Greater Capital District, and the Litchfield Hills: 1-3"
- Green Mountains, Berkshires, Taconics, Rensselaer Plateau: 3-6" with locally higher amounts of up to 12" possible
