Health officials in New York are warning about potential COVID-19 exposures in two Hudson Valley counties.
In Sullivan County, officials have confirmed that two Town of Thompson Walmart employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and may have exposed others while working. Anyone who was at the Walmart on Anawana Lake Road in Monticello November 16 or 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and November 18-20 from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. may have been exposed. Sullivan County Public Health Director Nancy McGraw says it is possible that a significant number of people have been exposed, because of how busy the store is. In Orange County, Health Commissioner Dr. Irina Gelman says anyone who worked at or visited the Outback Steakhouse, at 25 Crystal Run Crossing in Middletown, from 5 p.m. to closing on November 15, 16 or 17, may have been exposed to COVID-19. She advises residents to consider any public site in Orange County a potential site of COVID-19 exposure, given the increase in cases throughout the county.
