A New York state Senator already battling cancer has tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Republican Jim Seward and his wife have both tested positive for COVID-19, according to Senate Minority Leader John Flanagan.
Flanagan says Seward was last in Albany March 11. Seward, the ranking member of the finance committee, has represented the 51st district since 1987.
He is not seeking re-election as he battles bladder cancer.
