Capital District OTB has partnered with a Rochester developer - they've come up with a 300 Million dollar plan to build a casino at Thruway Exit 23.

As citizens and politicians lead the call to thwart developers from expanding the Saratoga Racino, a choice piece of real estate belonging to a politically-connected family is emerging as a tempting alternative location for a new casino. The Times Union reportsAlbany Mayor Kathy Sheehan has already met with a handful of folks promoting development along Noonan Lane. That's the former home of U.S. Senator KirstenGillibrand's grandmother, Dorothea "Polly" Noonan, who was connected to the old Albany Democratic Machine.  Proponents of the Exit 23 plan say it will create 1,800 permanent jobs and provide millions in revenue. The Albany Common Council is scheduled to get a briefing at noon today:

The NY gaming commission is accepting casino license applications through June 30th
