Multiple Connecticut River Flow Restoration Projects Expected To Be Completed This Year

Nine restoration projects in all four Connecticut River states are taking place this year under the direction of the Connecticut River Conservancy.

The Connecticut River Conservancy, this year, expects to complete nine river restoration projects in all four Connecticut River states.

It is part of a decades-long effort by the organization to remove old dams, stabilize the streambank, improve wildlife habitat and protect clean water.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Andrew Fisk, executive director of the conservancy.
