Longtime comedy writer Mike Reiss is best known for his work on “The Simpsons,” including two seasons as co-showrunner. He still works at the show, now in its 30th season. Reiss is coming to town this week for a New York State Writers Institute Event, to discuss his book Springfield Confidential: Jokes, Secrets, and Outright Lies from a Lifetime Writing for The Simpsons. Reiss will be at Page Hall at the University at Albany’s downtown campus Friday at 7:30.
