Massachusetts Announces 14 Projects Under Incentive Program

en.wikipedia.org

Massachusetts has approved 14 new projects under its Economic Development Incentive Program.

Governor Charlie Baker’s administration says the 14 projects that will receive state economic incentives will help create roughly 700 new jobs, and retain 1,000 more. The Republican administration says the efforts could also utilize $124 million in private investment.

The projects are mainly located in Gateway Cities, and in the eastern part of state. Pittsfield, the largest city in Berkshire County, saw investment at LTI Smart Glass, which manufactures laminated glass products.

LTI Smart Glass says the $240,000 in tax credits will help create 38 jobs.
