As part of a program launched in response to COVID-19, the City of Kingston has launched a food security hotline.

Kingston Mayor Steve Noble says anyone in need of food within the Kingston City School District can call the hotline any time and be entered into a database to receive prepared food or grocery delivery. City staff and volunteers will operate the hotline in both English and Spanish, and soon in the Mayan language K’iche. The hotline is part of the Kingston Emergency Food Collaborative — a partnership among community groups that began to provide meals to families as soon as the Kingston City schools were closed. Local restaurants through Ulster County’s Project Resilience are preparing home-delivered meals with another 600 meals by Family of Woodstock. The hotline number is:  888-316-0879
