Massachusetts U.S. Representative Joe Kennedy III is running for Senate. After his announcement in East Boston on Saturday, the Democrat launched a statewide tour that included a visit to Pittsfield Sunday morning.

WAMC's Lucas Willard spoke with Berkshire Bureau Chief Josh Landes on Midday Magazine about Kennedy's visit.

Lucas Willard is a reporter and host at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, which he joined in 2011.
Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
