Orange County is hosting its September 11th remembrance ceremony this evening.

The September 11th Patriot Day ceremony is being held at the Orange County Arboretum at 5 p.m. at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Hamptonburgh to honor the memory of the 44 county residents who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks and pay tribute to military personnel. County Executive Steve Neuhaus and other elected officials, along with the commander of the 105th Airlift Wing at the Stewart Air National Guard Base, will attend. Meanwhile, Westchester County is holding a 9/11 twilight ceremony beginning at 7 at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. And Rockland County officials and residents gathered this morning at Haverstraw Bay County Park to honor the 81 Rockland lives lost on September 11th, 2001 and February 26th, 1993.
