Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s early status as the inevitable Democratic presidential nominee met a challenge when Senator Bernie Sanders entered the race. With Democrats set to caucus in Nevada on Saturday, one of Clinton’s superdelegates in the Hudson Valley is addressing Sanders’ rise.

Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, who served as senior advisor in the Clinton White House, continues his rally cry for Clinton.

“As someone once said, they don’t pin it on you. You’ve got to go out and earn the presidency and Hillary Clinton knows that. And I think it’s fine that she gets tested and pushed and prodded. I think she’s got good ideas and I think they’re doable ideas. I think they’re practical, they’re affordable and they will change the country for the better,” says Maloney. “And I think if you look at Senator Sanders, well I think his heart’s in the right place, and you look at Mr. Trump and I don’t know where his heart is, I think you see very impractical proposals that are never going to happen and that are going to drive us further apart.”
