Hudson Valley Democrats "Fired Up" After Convention

Members of the Hudson Valley delegation to the Democratic National Convention are “fired up and ready to go” following the formal selection of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden as their party’s standard-bearers.

Orange County Democratic Chairman and convention delegate Jonathan Jacobson said they are ready to point out the differences between the Republican and Democratic candidates.

“Republicans want to turn the clock back and dig us back in the hole where we came from and that President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden want to continue the progress and lead us into the future by investing in the middle class, investing in education and jobs and moving forward to continue the progress that we’ve seen over the past few years,” Jacobson told MidHudsonNews.com following the conclusion of the convention late last night.

Last week Republicans nominated Mitt Romney for president and Congressman Paul Ryan for vice president.
