Helicopter To Drop Seed On Western Massachusetts Farm Fields

A helicopter will take to the air over farm fields in Massachusetts during the next few weeks as part of a government soil conservation program.

The helicopter will drop rye grass seed from a hopper over participating farms from the Berkshires to southeastern Massachusetts.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Diane Petit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
