Gun-Toting Student Arrested In Albany

wikipedia

Two Albany City School District employees are being let go after allowing a student carrying a loaded gun into school even though he set off a metal detector.

The student reported for a night school class at Albany High's Abrookin Career and Technical Center on Kent Street. The Times Union reports 17-year-old Steven Kramer of Albany faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, as well as possession of a weapon on school grounds. Surveillance video showed a metal detector alarming after Kramer passed through. Security staff failed to follow protocol, not patting down or wanding Kramer. School officials tell the paper the district is taking necessary steps to terminate two employees.
