The group converting a shuttered North Adams mill into a food production, hotel and retail site is hosting a New Year's Eve party to celebrate its progress. The 240,000-square foot Cariddi Mill sat dormant for years on State Road in North Adams, but in August New York City-based developers announced plans to make it a multi-use destination. Architect Sal Perry says tonight’s party will include a 150-person dinner with locally-sourced food.

“Food is a major component of the event so we decided to have a 115-foot long communal table as a first part of the party,” said Perry.

With tickets available at the door, roughly 500 people are expected to attend the dance party after. Businesses are expected to start operating in the now-renamed Greylock Mill in the first half of 2016.
