GRiZ Brings The Funk To Albany

Grant Kwiecinski aka GRiZ playing the saxophone
John Davisson

Grant Kwiecinski, better known by his stage name GRiZ, is an electronic music artist hailing from Detroit. Coming off a big 2016, capitalized by the release of his latest album ‘Good Will Prevail,’ GRiZ has headlined some of the country’s top venues including sold out concerts at Chicago’s Navy Pier, the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, and the Detroit Masonic Temple in his hometown.

GRiZ is a champion of the live electronic landscape; effortlessly blending improvised saxophone, guitar, vocals and more over booming bass lines, hard drops, and some of the most creative transitions in the game. GRiZ’s show stealing performances have reached the main stages at festivals from Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza to Electric Forest, Outside Lands & more.

More recently, GRiZ has turned his attention towards his hometown of Detroit.  After numerous sold out concerts, Grant has started a fundraising effort with the help of his street team and dedicated fan base. In 2016 alone, they collectively raised over $50,000 for Little Kids Rock – an organization that helps fund music education at public schools. Together with the help of Little Kids Rock and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, GRiZ and his record label, All Good Records, are working to provide Detroit’s youth with the music education they deserve.

He will be performing at the PalaceTheatre in Albany on Sunday, November 5th as a part of his 'Good Will Prevail' tour.
