Three years after Tropical Storm Irene tore through New York, one upstate county has completed restoration efforts.
Irene destroyed many Greene County communities - affecting several roads and bridges. Now county officials say all repair and rebuild projects as a result of the storm have been finished.
The Daily Mail says the Highway Department has been 100 percent reimbursed for more than $17 million dollars of infrastructure work. Their final project, the retaining wall on County Route 2 in Prattsville, has been audited and submitted for closeout at a cost of just over $590,000.
